R7 Building Blocks
Brief
Finding a solution to generate value from assorted sizes and types of wood scrap. We designed and made wooden building-blocks for kids of all ages.
Thinking
What can be made with minimum processing of the scrap wood? How to leverage the natural appearance of different types of wood? How do we convey that wood is not manufactured in factories?

Solution
R7 Building Blocks are made from high quality wood like Teak (Techtona Grandis), Deodar (Cedrus Deodara), and Babool (Vachellia Nilotica) that have been traditionally used in Indian toys since ancient times. The blocks are coated with beeswax and vegetable oils to protect them from moisture simultaneously make them safe for kids to play.
Utmost care has been taken to preserve the natural appearance and properties of the wood and hence each block may show different color streaks and, in some cases, peculiar spots as well.

R7 Building Blocks come with a user manual and are packed in a beautiful eco-friendly cloth bag.
